Glyphosate Testing | Herbicide & Environmental Exposure Assessment
The Glyphosate Test is a urine-based test that measures levels of glyphosate, the world’s most widely produced herbicide and the primary active chemical ingredient in Roundup. This broad-spectrum herbicide is found in more than 700 products and is widely used in agriculture, forestry, landscaping, and residential weed control.
Glyphosate exposure has been associated with a wide range of health concerns, including ADHD, autism, aggressive behavior, celiac disease, intestinal permeability (leaky gut), certain cancers, endocrine disruption, and DNA damage. These associations are still being investigated, and they do not establish that glyphosate causes these conditions.
For both children and adults, this testing provides information about glyphosate exposure and can be incorporated into a broader evaluation of environmental health.
Testing is conveniently completed at home using a urine sample. Glyphosate testing can also be added to the Organic Acids Test (OAT), allowing both tests to be completed using the same urine collection when ordered together. For younger children who are not yet potty-trained, a pediatric urine collection bag may be available at no additional cost.
